Light Roast Coffee: Bright, crisp, refreshing
Light-roasted coffee beans have the shortest roasting times compared with medium roast and dark roast coffees, with their internal temperatures being anywhere between 350 and 400 degrees Fahrenheit. While inside the coffee roasters, the beans will pop open and begin to split — giving them their “first crack.” With less time in the roaster, the beans will produce fewer natural oils and retain more of their acidity.
This coffee roasting process allows for our lighter roasts to express their naturally brighter flavor profiles of fruity and floral tasting notes. Because there are fewer oils, the body of the roast is mellow compared to the thicker bodies of dark roast beans. Pair the vibrant flavors with crisp acidity and you get the perfect cup of coffee for a breakfast blend.
